Casa de Campo Weekend Itinerary
The resort of Casa de Campo is a vacation getaway located on the western coast of the Dominican Republic – and it is absolutely beautiful. If you don’t want to take my word for it then I think the pictures below speak for themselves as well!
I visited Casa de Campo as part of a bachelorette trip (the perfect destination for that occasion), but it would be great for a long weekend getaway or honeymoon as well!

Accommodations
Casa de Campo is a luxury resort with the option to stay in either suites or villas. If you are a small group (traveling as a couple or solo), a suite should do the trick. If you are a big group, however, you will likely need to rent a “villa.” We had a group of 18 people on the trip, so we opted for a large villa within the resort (and the more people you split it with, the farther down the price will drop per person!).
Similar to what you would find in a hotel suite, which has cleaning services and hotel restaurants, the villas within the resort are also staffed with a chef and a cleaning service each day to accommodate your needs. Throughout the weekend we ended up dining in for breakfast and for one of our dinners, for which we provide and cover the costs of a grocery list for and then the chef made the meals onsite for us at home.

Weekend Itinerary | Casa de Campo Villa
On the first day of your stay, I have a feeling you’ll be eager to get out and explore the area! After a nice relaxing sleep you can enjoy a breakfast of your choosing at your dining table in the villa you rent, then walk on down to the beach area mid-morning.
The Minitas Beach can be accessed by foot if your villa is located along that street, or you can drive up by a car rental or golf cart rental and park in the allotted parking lot.
At the beach, you can pick up free towels at the entrance and find yourself an available chair with a view to lay back in! The beaches are full service, so if you need assistance the staff there can rearrange or add chairs as needed and set up your umbrella for you & your friends.
There are a couple of beach bars located right at the beach, so you can either walk over to stretch your legs if you’d like a drink or you can ask one of the staff to bring it to your chair!
The sand at this beach is picturesque and white – and the water is some of the clearest I have ever seen anywhere in the world! The beach is private to the Casa de Campo resort, so only guests have access to the area.
The swimming area is enclosed by a stone wall border in the water, and the water was mild and so warm! We visited during late April and the weather was truly perfect.
When you’re ready for it, there is also a Beach Restaurant you can walk over to for a late lunch! This restaurant has both a covered and uncovered patio setting to dine at, all with a beach view! We also used this as a great way to take a break from the sun and save our skin from burning for a bit.
After lunch I recommend spending the rest of the afternoon unwinding at the beach: swimming, napping, reading, chatting, the day will fly by with views like that – trust me!
To end the day, you can go back to your villa and shower off the sandy day before getting ready for dinner out at the SBG restaurant at the resort’s marina!
The SBG restaurant also has a DJ in the dining area, so as the night progresses there will be a shift in energy and you can get up from your table and dance the night away!
On the second day of your stay, I recommend starting off again with a nice slow morning with breakfast at your villa – followed by a quiet morning by the pool in your backyard!
The pool comes equipped with a few floats, but we also brought our own themed floaties for the bachelorette as well so there was plenty to go around.
The pool has umbrellas to keep yourself out of the sun as needed, and chairs to layout on poolside. There is also a tropical cabana area with a table if you’d like to dine for breakfast or lunch here instead! You could truly spend all day just hanging out here with no regrets.
But if you’re looking to continue adventuring, I recommend signing your group up for a boat excursion for the afternoon! We had a large group (again, around 20 girls) so required a large boat, but there are various options based on your party size.
For this we went down to the marina and met our captain, then boarded and took off on about an hour’s journey out to sea in the Caribbean. The water was again crazy beautiful blue:
We then arrived at an offsite beach location that is also owned by the resort Casa de Campo, so still had full service for those who chose to swim to land! To get service though you will have to bring your resort identification card with you on the cruise.
Once docked, you and your friends can hang out here for a few hours! We had paddle boards and brought our floats, so spent a lot of time in the water – and even saw a star fish! But if preferred you can also just bask in the sun on the boat deck and enjoy the day while dry, completely up to you!
Personally, I recommend getting in the water. It was warm and amazingly clear. And how often do you get to swim in the Caribbean Sea!?
When you’re finished up, you can begin the hour boat ride back to the main resort! We were pretty done being in the sun by the end of the day so chose to have dinner back in the villa, but another great recommendation would be the nearby Minitas Beach Club & Restaurant again! Or just a night time swim in the pool once the sun goes down.
Whatever you do, you are sure to have a great time doing it! I would highly recommend the Casa de Campo Resort for any bachelorette trips, bachelor trips, friends trips, or even a honeymoon! And while not mentioned in this itinerary because we didn’t do it, it is also a popular golf location with great views of the water!

Guest Access
To get onto the resort grounds, your whole party will need to provide their passports or identification at the check-in station on the road leading into Casa de Campo. They will provide each of you with a resort ID card that will serve as proof that you are a guest if asked throughout your stay.
You will also be asked at check-in to pay the daily resort fee up front ($30 per adult, per day), so be prepared to do so upon arrival.
