Best Places to Stay Near Plitvice Lakes National Park, Croatia
Plitvice Lakes National Park is one of the most popular places to visit in all of Croatia, with stunningly blue lakes and waterfalls filling their grounds and well maintained walking trails to explore the natural beauty. Having said that, it is located fairly far away from any major cities in the region, so – where should you stay? Check out the options below based on your travel preferences to find the right fit for you!

Accommodations Close to the Park
There are a handful of boutique hotels and B&Bs within a few minutes drive from the Plitvice Lakes National Park. These options would be considered a bit more remote, as there is no major town outside of the protected park, but you certainly can’t beat the proximity to the park – or the views for that matter. If you’re looking to be as close to the park as possible, one of the following would be your best bet:

Accommodations in Jezerce
Another option a bit further down the road (a mere 10 minute drive) is the small town of Jezerce. This remains a remote area of the region, with mostly residential buildings filling the town, but it does offer a couple of restaurants to walk to if you prefer to eat outside of your hotel. It also offers a more affordable array of accommodations compared to those directly outside of the entrances to Plitvice.

Accommodations in Korenica
The farther you drive down route D1 away from the park, the bigger of the town you will be able to stay in (if that is your preference!). About a 20 minute drive from entrance two to the park is the town of Korenica, Croatia. From here you’ll have more of a built-up town to walk around, and a greater variety of restaurants to choose from for food. So if your preference is to find a place to stay that is not too remote but still very close to Plitvice Lakes, the town of Korenica might be a good fit for you.
