One of the best pass times for the soul, flower picking is one of our favorite ways to get outside during the Spring and Summer! If you’re wondering whether or not there is anywhere to go flower picking near Philadelphia, the answer is yes! There are actually a ton of options to choose from, and if you’re willing to drive a bit further your options compound.

Continue reading for a list of the best places to pick flowers near Philly! (And while this should go without saying – please don’t cut flowers out of other people’s gardens, there are tons of places to cut your own flowers from without ruining anyone’s day haha)

Flower picking with friends is such an enjoyable, budget-friendly way to spend some time outside surrounded by beautiful scenery – we couldn’t recommend it more! So throw on a cute outfit and check out some of the great flower farms near Philly below.

1. Maple Acres Farm & Market

A popular family destination during the summer months, Maple Acres Farm & Market offers much more than flower fields – as they also have hay rides, farm animals, pick your own fruits & vegetables, and more! They have so much variability in their offerings, the best way to keep up with what’s in season is their Facebook page!

  • Distance from Philly: 20 miles
  • Time from Philly: 35 minutes by car
  • Season: May – November
  • Hours: 7:30am – 7:30pm
  • Entrance Fee: None

The farm is most well known for picking your own zinnias, but they scatter a plethora of other flower types throughout the fields as well.

2. Dalton Farms

In the other direction, over in New Jersey, is an expansive flower farm large enough to spend your whole evening in: Dalton Farms. This ticketed farm offers flower picking, a corn maze, pumpkin patches, farm animals, music, food, and more to keep you entertained. Their cut-your-own flower offerings mostly center around sunflowers and zinnias, but additional flower species are grown as well.

  • Distance from Philly: 24 miles
  • Time from Philly: 30 minutes by car
  • Season: August – September
  • Entrance Fee: YES – $14 general admission

3. Cherry Crest Adventure Farm

An all day adventure, Cherry Crest Adventure Farm is located about an hour and a half outside of Philly and offers pick your own sunflowers and zinnias – along with pumpkins & more in the fall! Cherry Crest Farms is more than just a farm, as it has become a whole entertainment package: music, food, mazes, hay rides, slides, flower fields and more!

Cherry Crest is located at 150 Cherry Hill Rd, Ronks, PA 17572.

4. Everfresh Produce

This roadside local farmer’s market is a small, family-owned business with large expanses of fields behind it. As far as value goes, I think Everfresh Produce is definitely one of the best places to get the most for your money! While you have the option to purchase pre-cut flowers, you can also get a bin to walk the fields and cut your own flowers as well! These fields primarily offer zinnias and wildflowers. You can also grab organic groceries or freshly made baked goods on your way out as well 🙂

  • Time from Philly: 1 hour 20 minutes by car
  • Season: May – November
  • Hours:
    • 8:30am – 8:00pm on Weekdays
    • 8:30am – 5:00pm on Saturdays

In contrast to some of the bigger farms with structured entertainment, Everfresh is a good place to go if you’re looking for a quieter experience with just flower picking.

Everfresh Produce is located at 3145 Division Hwy, New Holland PA 17557.

5. Pinewood and Posies

Pinewood & Posies is another family owned business centered around all things flowers – arrangements, pre-cut bouquets, and of course cut-your-own experiences! This picturesque flower farm is located out towards the direction of Lancaster, just like Everfresh Produce, but offers a great tranquil escape from the city for an afternoon.

  • Distance from Philly: 60 miles
  • Time from Philly: 1 hour 20 minutes by car
  • Entrance Fee: None
  • Hours:
    • 8:00am – 5:00pm on Mon, Tues, Wed, Fri
    • 8:00am – 1:00pm on Saturdays
