Green Mountain Inn | Stowe Hotel Review
Stowe is a small town in the north of Vermont with an annual population of only around five thousand – but in the winter season it is one of the most popular ski destinations on the east coast of the United States!
Since it is a town catered towards visitors, there are a lot of hotels & accommodations available to choose between for your stay. To help you narrow it down, we’ve highlighted our experience at the Green Mountain Inn to make your decision easier!

Location of the Green Mountain Inn
The Green Mountain Inn has an ideal location if you’re looking to stay in the heart of Stowe, sitting right in the activity of the downtown area at 18 Main Street.
It is directly across the street from the Café on Main coffee shop and a bunch of souvenir shops and boutiques – and easy walking distance to anywhere you could want to go in downtown Stowe!
It is also only a 10 minute drive to the Stowe Mountain Resort ski area, which is one of the most popular activities to do while visiting and the main attraction in Stowe!

Rooms & Accommodation
The style of the Green Mountain Inn has a rustic, cozy feel to it – perfect for a cold winter weekend spent skiing!
They offer several different sized rooms based on your needs, including: standard rooms, suites, balconies, family style suites, and luxury suites. They also offer complete apartments with a fire place and fully equipped kitchen if you’re intending to stay for a longer trip or just would like more independence in your stay.
Onsite Activities
I don’t know about you, but typically when I’m traveling I prioritize being outside of my hotel room instead of in it – so I’m always excited about the onsite activities where I’m staying, and the Green Mountain Inn has a lot to offer!
For a cozy ski weekend during the winter, the Green Mountain Inn has three fire pits on location that you can sit and warm up at – and even a heated pool and outdoor jacuzzi that are open year-round!

Having all of this onsite is a really nice feature after a long day on your feet out in the snow – and they even have massages, and health club, and a sauna right at the hotel if you need a bit of extra recovery from your day on the slopes! Sometimes it’s hard to want to do anything but lay down after a long day on a mountain, so if you’re going to do so it might as well be in a heated pool – right?

Other activities offered directly at the inn include a pool room, a bar, outdoor gardens, a game room, and complimentary tea & cookies! They are also nearby to popular hiking trails, public tennis courts, a town art center, and many restaurants & shops all within walking distance.
