Located within walking distance from the center of La Fortuna, Costa Rica, El Hotel Secreto La Fortuna is one of the best hotels to call home during your visit.

Where is Hotel Secreto La Fortuna?

El Hotel Secreto La Fortuna is located at the end of Calle 466 in the heart of La Fortuna, Costa Rica – only three blocks away from both the main drag & La Fortuna Park. More excitingly, since El Hotel Secreto is located at the end of the block, it has an unobstructed view of the famous La Arenal Volcano! The photo above was taken right after checking in on the walk to my room.

What Amenities Does Hotel Secreto Offer?

The Hotel Secreto is set up to be more than just a hotel: all of its rooms center around a beautifully kept garden and direct view of La Arenal Volcano. The hotel offers a choice of two room sizes: a Single Room (one King sized bed) or a Double Room (two beds). Both layouts feature sliding glass doors that allow you to enjoy views of the garden from within. When you want privacy, there are curtains that you can cover the glass with.

A necessary respite in Costa Rica’s humid climate, all rooms provide air conditioning (AC) and access to the hotel’s pool – located in the center of the communal garden with a perfect view of Arenal.

The hotel also provides wifi, a television in each room, and breakfast each morning! There really isn’t a better way to start a day on vacation than an already-paid-for breakfast, friendly chatter with neighboring guests, and a view.

Is Hotel Secreto La Fortuna Affordable?

Even though the Hotel Secreto basically feels like a resort, it’s actually relatively affordable for La Fortuna! Especially considering it is walking distance from town. All rooms hover around $48 US dollars per night (~ 30,000 Costa Rican colónes).
